Size and fit

Head circumference measurement

  • Small / Medium: 21.75-22.75" / 55-58 cm
  • Large / XLarge: 23-23.75" / 58.5-60.5 cm

To measure your hat size, wrap a string or ribbon around your head, just above your eyebrows and ears. Measure the string length with a ruler and compare it to the size chart, and that’s your size! Once you receive your hat, adjust the back toggle for a custom fit.

A cute little hat; like the toggle for adjustable sizing

"Although I already have a sun hat with a wider brim for more complete sun protection, I wanted to keep a lightweight one in my car for impromptu walks. This one came recommended, and I like it just fine. The sand color is a nice, go-with-everything neutral, & while the brim isn’t that wide, it still provides protection for my face. The toggle is nice to have to tighten the hat, because a chin strap for windy conditions would have been the only thing I’d have wished for. Lastly, the top of the hat is deep enough to accommodate my preferred warm weather hair top-knot, yet still looks OK!"

Excellent good looking hat

"I’m really pleased with these hats (I bought two). I have a very small head and with the elastic toggle tie to tighten it is a perfect fit. "I love this hat as it fits on top of my chemo hat, (I wear my light nightcap under it) or I wear it alone knowing it's SPF 50 is safe for my shaved head. So joy all round. Our Christchurch sun is alpine harsh and the hat protects my face and neck really well. This is my third Solbari hat ( I lost one) and I am a fan. People always ask me where I got them and I sing your praises. As far as I know there is not a comparable NZ product."

Fabulous!

"Not a fan of a sun hat but visiting Melbourne in November. This hat is so good, the fit can be adjusted so it fits perfectly. Really good size brim, I’m small so find most too wide, this is wide enough to give good cover, but not too wide to make it difficult to move my head. Great choice of colours, I bought the sage green. Light and will be easy to pack, looking forward to taking it back to Melbourne, but will also get a lot of use back home."
